Varying Spring Stiffness

I want to create a spring that will break at one of it's ends (or whose constaint with another part discontues) after the spring experiences a certain amount of stress. Is this possible to do using autodesk inventor/simulator? Is there any way to vary the stiffness of the spring? Or use ilogic to end a constraint once the spring experiences a certain stress?

Any help would be much appreciated

If you can use Autodesk Simulation Mechanical, you can try use 'General Contact Element' in nonlinear types.

Thank you for your input. This information seems pretty useful. I will play around with it more and hopefully I can get the results I am looking for
