Surface Mesh Error

Hi guys,

I am having problem with meshing my dust cyclone. I have looked through the Autodesk CFD support and forum but nothing seems to work. All I want to do is put through 15m/s of air through the side pipe so I can see the speeds coming out the top and bottom.

Also is there a way to select exactly the start of a pipe for the air to enter rather than selecting a boundery face?

BTW im using Autodesk Simulation CFD2013 and Inventor 2013

Regards,

Will

Hi, I think you need to generate the fluid model, then you will have the faces for applying your inlet velocity boundary condition. If you are using Inventor and Sim CFD, you can launch your solid model into CFD and generate the fluid inside Sim CFD using the Geometry Tools> Void Fill.

Ilyas
