Sliding/No Separation in MES

Hello to everyone,

Is there a way to set a sliding/no separation contact in MES envoirements? Like the one that is avaible in LSS?

I build a model of two thin parts in contact. These can slide, but not separate during the analysis.

Thanks in advance for the support.

Matteo

Hi Matteo

You should find the constraint under the surface contact options.

In MES, you can set the two contact surfaces in one contact pair, and set the "Contact method" as 'Frictionless Slide/No Bounce Contact", and leave 'No slide' unchecked.
