Simulation of Axial Fan flow profile in AUTODESK SIMULATION

Hello All,

Im new to this product and this forrum. My previous experience with CFD includes FLUENT solver.

I'm trying to model the flow profile of an axial fan roof mounted type. My aim is to know the flow profile in the room.

Can some one help me on how to satrt with this problem.

regards

There are two types of approaches for the CFD fan in Autodesk simulation Multiphysics CFD.
One is the fan model which ignore the fan details but needs lumped fan parameters as inputs, these include fan flow rate, swirling, fan curve etc., this approach does not need modeling the fan geometry and thus simplifies the modeling. For axial fan, you can try fan curve + swirling.
The other one is the multiple rotating frames of reference (MRF), which simulates detail flow from the fan geometry.
