Simulation Mechanical 2014 Please HELP!

Hi All,

I'd like to know what kind of Element type is this? I've modeled the Padeye in AutoCAD 2014 its a solid (with thickness) in form and export it in SAT file format. I don't know how to make this as a plate in S.Mechanical? My model suppose to be solid in form. Do i have to change it into something before i can select a Element type etc pls Instruct me i need help i'm new in S.Mechanical...

Hi Mac

I suggest that you click the Mesh button ("Mesh > Mesh > Generate 3D Mesh").

Thanks a lot sir you have saved my a** haha!. But what type of element should i select this is a "plate" in actual should i choose brick for this one?
