Pressure Drop Calculation

I had a problem simulating pressure drop in a valve body. I have developed two cases for this problem, in one of them I am giving inlet pressure and outlet velocity and in the other one inlet velocity and pressure with inlet/outlet boundary condition at outlet. In the first case, the calculated outlet pressure is -23058 psi and in the second case the outlet pressure is 0 psi. I was expecting the same results in both cases. Attached you can find the report for these two cases. Please let me know what I am doing wrong. Thank you so much

Hi,

I just have a few minutes to reply. What you should be checking is the pressure drop between the inlet and the outlet. Theoretically, you get the same flow rate if the inlet and outlet pressures are 0 and -10 as compared to 10000 and 9990.
