Orthotropic material - cylindrical properties?

I have a titanium rod whose properties vary cylindrically (e.g., it has different Young's modulus in the axial, radial, and tangential (hoop) directions). However, the orthotropic brick element only seems to allows material properties in rectangular (not cylindrical) directions. If this is true (as I have been told by tech support), is there any work-around? (I had considered something weird like modeling it as a composite or piezoelectric material but these don't seem to support cylindrical properties either.)

Thanks for any suggestions.
