Better Performance for Algor simulation 2011

I've Algor simulation 2011 in a PC as follows:

Proccesor i7  2,8 Ghz

Win XP  64 bits SP2

8 GB RAM

1 Tb  Hard Drive

My software works fine but I need to improve precessing time. I need to reduce processing time to 25% of actual procesing time.

how can I improve my hardware to do it? (I cant updat to a latest version soon)

If you constantly need to run large models, increasing RAM size is always a safe bet in my opinion. BTW, Algor 2012 has noticeable performance improvement that may meet you 25% expection for many models.

I agree that additional memory is likely to be the best option.

A faster disk drive may help as well, especially if running MES or any other time-dependent analysis.  Similarly, striping disks (additional disk drive with additional disk controller) will also help with these types of analyses.
