help with modeling heat gain from people

The overall effort we are working onit trying to model a large auditorium/convention hall filled with people.  Instead of including 1000 individual people, I was hoping to instead include discrete blocks that would represent a smaller number, say 10 blocks of 100 people.  The blocks would take up the equivelant floor space of 100 people, and would give off equivelent heat.

I am worried about the correlation between heat generation and surface temperature of people.  Would a model with a constant heat generation of 250 Btu/h (for example) be more accurate, or would setting the surface temperature of a person at 95 deg F be more accurate?

Hi,

We typically apply a heat generation to a human model rather than using fixed temperatures. This way we can get an idea of the effects of differing cooling strategies rather than them remaining at a fixed temperature.
