Best bet is to go through Fusion or Inventor, then launch the model from there.

HI
I tried opening my .DWG to Autodesk CFD file from autodesk inventor professional but it would just close and ask for an error report. Could u please help or provide an alternative.

Thanks

Have you tried launching trhough Inventor Fusion?

Kind regards,

Feel free to share it here.

If you run SimCFDconfig.exe (with ADSK products closed) from the CFD installation folder it will add the button to Fusion. Please right click it and run as admin.

Thanks,

Jon

Hi Jon,

I am trying to bring in 2D files from Fusion 360. I ran CFDConfig as administrator, but only Inventor showed up in the list. Fusion was greyed out. I am running CFD 2016 and the Fusion tool was just installed this evening.

Best,

Chris

Hi Chris,

Can I suggest kicking off a new thread? Just incase this gets lost as it was accepted as a solution.

I think Fusion refers to the old Inventor Fusion, rather than Fusion 360, which you might be referring to?

Thanks,

Jon
