Transient heat transfer simulation with flow

Hi,

I'm trying to simulate a transient heat transfer analysis with flow. The object is a table with a heat exchanger. On the upper surface of the table there is a heat flux directed on it and the water flows in the table canals. I want to simulate a constant water temperature at the inlet 13 deg C (water always enters the table with this temperature but during the flow it is heated). Is it enough to apply a boundary condition (13 deg C) on the inlet surface like presented in the attachment? and the initial condition of entire water volume = 13 deg C?

I would recommend adding inlet extensions (1-2Diameters in height)

The temperature BC is a strong condition and we try to avoid having it assigned to a fluid inlet that shares nodes with the surrounding solid as this can be difficult for energy balance at times.

Othewise, yes, we would add a Temp BC on the inlet to assume a constant temperature coming in to the domain
