Revit API Issue

Hi,

May I ask what is going on when you launch a Revit file into Simulation CFD 2014 directly from Revit and you encounter the message

Revit API experienced difficulty to extract element information. Element names and volume associativityfor some elements might be lost.

There seems to be no issue opening the Revit file into Simulation CFD but I am worried about what this message means.

Hi kaiwai,

This may mean just that. Associativity might not work.

Does the model launch OK though?

Can you launch just a simpe cube without the error? This might indicate some issue with your real model.

Hi Jon,

Yes, the model opens fine and we can see no further errors.

However, I was just wondering what the error message meant and to know what is missing from the model?

I would imagine it is something to do with naming convention maybe, doesn't sound like the model would be modified at all
