I have just downloaded Autodesk Simulation CFD and am trying to run CFD on the airfoil I drew up in solidworks. I have found forums that have said you can open the solidworks document in autodesk by using the CAD connection or saving it as a .igs . There is no CAD connection add on in my solidworks, and when I saved the drawing as a .igs I went into autodesk and the only file options are .cfz and .cfdst there is no .igs or all files like I assumed there would be. Should there be or how do I go about this?
Thanks,

Do you know if you have the Solidworks CAD connection asset within your licence?
You could use parasolid or sat files to read directly into CFD, not igs though. To do this go to New in CFD and not Open.
