Non-Uniform Heat Generation

Hello,

I have a cuboid object that I want to assign a non-uniform heat generation to it as the boundary condition. I was wondering if it is supported by Simulation CFD.

If not, can I break the cuboid object into multiple smaller objects and assign them different heat generation values? Does Simulation CFD consider them as "one" object during the simulation or does it add some additional boundary thermal conductances between them?

Thanks.

Hi Dousti,

Your second statement is right, you would need to divide the volume into sections, they would be treated as a single material still.

Kind regards,

Jon

Isn't there any better approach that doesn't need the CAD model to be modified?
