With the release of Simulation CFD 2014, we introduced the Sim CFD Learning Path (http://akn.autodesk.com/maps/ENU/99995). To help us decide on next steps for the Learning Path, I'd like to get your input. Specifically, I'd like to understand how you are using the Path, how it's helped you, and how you would like to see it evolve.
Thanks
Len
Interesting, but I hope it is something more in addition to the help documentation, and I hope it loads within (conservative) 10 seconds of clicking on the link on a high speed broadband! I have already given up on SimCFD Wikihelp because of its lag and inaccessibility, and use offline doco for everything...
Omkar.
It doesn't seem to be working. None of the pages that pop up after clicking a branch of the tree will load for me.
I think Autodesk needs to fix this site and the WikiHelp site so that they are quick and usable. They both seem to have very useful information. But having to wait forever for a page that may not even load deters me from ever thinking about these sites as viable options for assistance.
Please check the Void Fill tool chapter:
http://akn.autodesk.com/maps/ENU/99995#n=53395110&c=53395114
The last string is: "Note: The Void Fill tool cannot be applied after the is applied."
Please explain the missing word. Thank you.
Hi @pipaev,
Thanks for reaching out to us on the forums! I believe the missing word is "external volume". The sentence is trying to communicate that if you are going to use the Void Fill and External Volume geometry tools, the void fill must be done first and then the external volume can be made. This intuitively makes sense because you'd generally start in the physical center of the model and work your way out.
I think in most cases users are not using the void fill and external volume tool in the same project, but it could come up.
Hopefully this helps clear things up for you.
Thanks,
