Dust & Rubbish - 1% crisp packets, 5% grit, 2% paper

How would you start to model dust in an airflow?

If you want to suck up rubbish how do assign the materials?

Guessing 90% air, 1% crisp packets, 5% grit, 2% paper etc.

Granular flow points to erosion, I can't find references to modelling solids as a fluid.

How much mass can be moved by a volume of air moving at what speed?

How do you specify the mass (rubbish?) within the airflow?

If the airflow speed doubles does the mass of the debris being carried in the airstream also double?

Just looking for ideas & references - any contributions welcome!

Thanks

MES

If it is only grit, then you can simulate the Langrangian massed particles in streamlines. IF you know exact shape of papers/crisps packets, you can use moving solids? You will need the Motion licence for the latter.
