Hello,
I am interested in simulating some combustion processes, however, being a complete newbie to CFD simulation, I have littel idea as to how to go about doing this in CFD simulation. My thought was to try to set up a volume as air which has an timed transient heat boundary condition, however this does not seem to be working. Does anyone have any ideas on how this could be achieved?
Any help is appreciated!
Hi phi1123,
Firstly, we cannot model combustion in CFD and it sounds as though you are aware of this.
What is the overall goal of the analysis?
We do run HVAC models with a fire in them, typically simulated by a resistance media within the air volume. This resistance would be the fire and would have a heat load applied to it.
Feel free to share some more details and a support (CFZ) file if it helps.
Kind regards,
Jon
Hi, my name is hugo jojoa
Could you tellme the recommended resistance material characteristic to simulate fire?
Check out the guide here, this ought to be pretty useful and provide you with the answer too! (It's at 15:30)
