Center of Force in Wall Calculator

Hello,

I am trying to compute the lift and the drag for a plane wing. I am using the wall calculator.

I have problems understanding the meaning of the two columns  in the result table.

Also, where is the origine of the basis in the space? Because there are two basis in space, I don't know why.

Please find attached a picture of wall calculator.

Does someone tell me the meaning of these?

Thank you very much for your answer,

Guillaume DUPONT

There is no common origin for the centers of force because the axes (lines) do not necessarily meet at a single point in a general 3D model. That is why there are three "centers of force", 1) about the XY plane normal, 2) about the YZ, and about the XZ.

Dear srhusain,

Thank you so much for your answer.

But where is the origin of the basis int the CFD file? And is it possible to change the origin place directly in CFD simulation?

Thanks for your answer,

Guillaume DUPONT

SimCFD uses the CAD coordinate system, so the origin is the global origin of the CAD model.

Hope that helps,
