Automating summary file extraction?

I'm doing a scalar mixing problem and I would like to get the data from the summary file every X seconds over a longer time span.  Is there a way to automate the saving of the summary file data so that I don't have to manually stop & restart my study after each segment X?  This could become a very tedious process otherwise.

How about using python scripts? Tricky though. Hopefully an easier way exists.

I sincerely hope there is a convenient way too.  The useful data I need is only saved in the summary file, as far as I know.  I'm not sure I have the time to delve into writing a script, nor do I have much experience running them  😞

If what you are looking for is Summary file information, under the Solve dialog you can specify a Save Interval for the Summary information such that you would have a rolling history for your inlets/outlets across the run.

If you can elaborate a little more we might be able to point in a better direction as well.

Thanks

Ah, ok.  That looks promising.  Will try at the next interval 🙂
