Animate Transient steps

Hello,

My transient analysis is 120 time steps with 5 inner iteration. Every time step is 10 seconds with 6 save results.

Is it possible to do a 20 min video. We want to see the smoke development.

Everytime i animate i get like 40 seconds animation.

All steps are selected for the animation.

Thanks

Dan

Hi Dan,

I am not 100% sure what you are asking - is the animation running up to the stop time of 20 minutes but only taking 40 seconds to do so?

Another way to read this is that you would like the animation to run for a full twenty minutes, is that correct?

Kind regards,

Jon

Maybe i am missing something...

Hi Dan,

I think so. Look at it this way, if you wanted to run something in even a measly 16fps for 20 minutes you would need 19200 frames. That number of timesteps would be impossible to save from CFD.

I cannot see how this would be possible with CFD right now.

Sorry I cannot be more help here.

Kind regards,

Jon

I'm facing a similar issue, I tried running the simulation for 600 seconds and just saving the last 100 time steps to save memory. However the animation tool does not work for these last time steps.
