Agree this is a valid request for within the simulation environment, however, if you are in a pinch as a workaround you might try using a cut plane with an XY plot to measure the distance. The other option is to save out a Dynamic Image (VTFX) and measure distances in the standalone Simulation CFD Viewer.

Measuring tool would making it possible to check the mesh sizes as well.

There is now a measurement scale available in the model window in 2017. This can be used to get approximate measurements from the model and also to confirm units/sizing. It can be turned on and off from the view tab. 

Please see the other comments for using a XY plot or CFD Viewer to get precise measurements.

Approximate measurements are not measurements. I need to be able to  measure without keeping my Inventor model open.

I will not call this idea implemented.

The solution with CFD-Viewer seems to work. But it's way to much work just to measure some distances. Please change that.

But how can I change in the CFD Viewer the units to mm? Nobody works with cm
