To make sure that my model is running with the correct parameters (ie. making sure I didn't accidently set the wrong unit type), I check max/min pressure for the system 10 iterations in. I'm guessing that most experienced users of CFD can judge if the simulation will be a waste of time based on max/min values for pressure and velocity.
Is it possible to have the simulation monitor report these values so I don't have to have Autodesk CFD open?
You could potentially use notifications for this, but then again, you could just leave the simulation open. Having some sort of values reported in the monitor would be the neatest solution though.
