More computing power during set up.

My CPU is only operating at 3% during the meshing and pre-solve process.  Sometimes this takes a long time (up to 2 hrs) on large models.  Is there some way you can change the system so the computer uses all of its processing power during this time period.

Tom,

  You might try setting the flag 'mesh_multicore' which will thread the volume meshing process across as many cores as you care to enable. The flag manager defines its usage.

I was checking my setup and found

Value = A

How many CPU's are involved in the mash?

Both surface and volume meshing operations are, by default, serial processes and will run on a single core. By way of the flag I described above, you can enable threading of the volume meshing operation and can devote as many cores to this process as you like.
