I create a volume light. Shadows are cast , but the light is not blocked by objects in the path of the light. I checked that the normals of the objects interior are facing the light.
I am building Disco ball, I need the light rays to project out from holes on the balls surace. I used the shell modfier to make sure that there wouldn't be this problem where the the light would not reconize the faces on the inside of the shape, which is a sphere.
