Switching MR to MayaSoftwareRenderer changes the openexr output format to iff
When ever I switch between Mentalray and Mayasoftware the openexr output format setting is permanently switched to iff. I understand that Mayasoftware does not support openexr but this makes it impossible to mix renderers in one maya scene and still output openexr. How do I prevent this? This is the case in Maya2014 as well as previous Maya versions.
Whenever you are switching to Mr to software for a particular layer , Right click on "Render using" and change it to Software. then layer override the Image format option to whatever you required .
