Hi,

Could you save your project out of Max as an Archive (.zip) and upload it here?

Or if you don't want to make it publically shared, just message me a dropbox link to the .zip or maybe use sendspace.com?

File -> Save as -> Archive.

I found out that the Architectural opacity material used on the floor was not working as expected and was filling the room with light. I changed the material type to an Arch & Design material with the same difuse and cutout (opacity) bitmaps and it is now working correctly.
