It's just for the heck of it, but this issue has kept me puzzled for hours.
In the attached scene, you'll notice that there's a high-poly mesh and a low-poly. Transfering the Normal Maps, for some bizzare reason, produces the screenshot below. Note how it comes to a point on the pommel (far left), and how the connection between the blade and the hilt is a little messed up, as well as (most prominently) the blade screwing up a lot. Also attached is the normal map it generated.
Is there something wrong with my technique? Why are those parts coming out so sharp? Is there anything else I could do to make it better? I'm really new to normal maps, so this is really confusing me. Any help or feedback is appreciated.
