Network Renders and Final Gather map.

Can I que up a set of network renders that utilize re-using a single FG map, before the map is compiled?  In other words, will the qued network renders use the FG map level in which they were sent to the farm machines, or will they load the final FG map when it is done, provided that I leave the que suspended until the final FG map is saved.

Yes it's possible. You would need to create a multiple job setup like this:

-One job is responsible for calculating the FG map

-The rest of the jobs are submitted as dependencies of the above job

Setup is straightforward. I'm not sure of your workflow but I would do the following:

-Create the scene where the FG map is calculated. Since it's just for FG calculation you don't need to set image precision high.

-Submit the job to Backburner

-Create the other jobs that will use the pre-calculated FG map

-Submit the job but before sending the job to Backburner click on "Dependencies"

-In the Job Dependencies dialog, add the first job as the dependency

-Submit and repeat for the remaining jobs.

Hope that helps. Tell me if that works for you.
