Test windows phone 8 application on emulator

hi there,

 

i'm testing to convert flash application to windows 8 and windows phone 8, when i try to debug the wp8 project the VS don't allow me to run it on the emulator. is there any limitation to test in emulators or it's just possible to test directly in the device.

 

this is the error:

Deployment failed because an app with target platform System.Threading.Tasks.Task`1[System.String] cannot be deployed to Emulator WVGA. If the target platform is win32/ x86, select an emulator. If the target platform is ARM, select Device.

 dont make sense the presented solutions, there is no workaround?
