Hi, I am trying to create a Z-Purlin using section builder. But to do that, I am creating the section in autocad then transforming it to robot using import as dxf. The problem is I am getting weird things after I import it. Please see figure. I get weird results even if i draw a rectangular section. Any ideas.

Set correct units before importing.
If you want to calculate it as thin walled section you have to import only one "middle" line.
Dxf for thin walled section attached.
thanks for your reply. However, could you please enlighten me as to why I would want to import and analyze the purlin as a thin walled sections. I know this is not a robot question, but the help would be greatly appreciated.
I have checked results and they are comparable so no need to use thin walled approach.
As far as I remember theory says : section part thickness divided by height or width of section > 0.1 -> thick walled
