problem with alpha fron fig 6.11 fron ec 1993-1-8

hello!

In eurocode ec 1993-1-8 on fig. 6.11 value of alpha is max 8 min 4.45.

when i checked the connection beam to column the leff,nc is 225.3631......

225,3631/22,9=9.84>>8

 

please check the values and give me a answer...

Is the 5th row the one close to the stiffener or the internal one? I think that for the 5thnone you should use another formulas from the table you attached.

 - for example, the second row in the figure above, the column flange, the effective length of time a program is 207.1506 and m = 22.9, so alpha is 9.045>>8,  (leff,nc=alphaxm).

 - Please mark the figure that the formula uses to turn two screws (for column flange onlly) in the given situation in figure

Currently Robot extrapolates the values of  alpha 'above' 8 and 'below' 4.5. I have asked the development team to investigate this situation. Thank you for reporting it.

It would be a problem to the combination of steel poles with concrete foundation., But this I will post it in the coming days ....

It can disable analysis by C.B.E, for:

This verificaton can be switched off in Robot 2015
