Is it possible to model a wall panel for compression only? I am trying to model (not design) a masonry wall with suspended slab above and below. The slab below deflects slightly more than that above inducing high tensile loads in the panel. I have tried using a unilateral linear release at the top but the whole panel behaves as a deep upstand beam, trying to support the slab below, which isn't my intention.
