Trouble modeling suspension bridge with rigid links

I've been working on modeling a suspension for a class project and I have been encountering instability issues when I add rigid links to connect the deck beams to the cables. I was adding the links in so the bridge beams would cover half the deck and still connect to the cables. When I have modeled a suspension bridge without rigid links it has worked fine so my settings for a non linear analysis and cable definition should be correct.

I have tried every setting on the rigid link that I can think of. I have attached the model I have been working on, could someone please take a look and help me with the necessary settings or offer advice on an easier way to model the bridge.

Thanks in advance

Nonlinear pdelt acalculations should be carried on.

Then you have to play with cables assembling parameters to obtain convergence.
