Strip footing

Hello,

I have modelled a metal structure in robot and i want to make strip footing to it. I try some things, like to choose the nodes of the soil in the structure and go to "provided reinforcement of RC element elements", but with this way i create individual footing. Is there any way to make strip footing in the structure?

Thanks, in advance.

Hi

I Think Artur suggested the attached procedure.

  1. Create a linear support definition  with calculated KZ value

  1. Save soil profile

  1. Define linear support under a wall

  1. Select nodes where you defined supports

  1. Use: Design > Provided Reinforcement of RC Element

  1. Open soil profile

  1. Calculate required size and reinforcement

Mind that for this workflow Robot calculates required area of reinforcement perpendicular to the wall. As it is assumed that the wall is rigid enough to prevent and in in-plane deformation (rigid body behavior) the longitudinal one is assumed as declared by a user.

Yes , but what happens if you don;t have a wall but single steel  columns...

Is this methology right ?
