Seismic example

Hi,

I am trying to solve the above example ( attachment).

Seismic analysis consist of EC 8, acceleration coeff.0.35, zone B and behavior coeff. 2 damping 5%

the modal analysis and deformations are correct, but the reactions for the seismic case do not correspond to the example.

I don't know where the mistake is?

Thank you

Hello,

You need to put the combination sign "1" (in your case) and then you gone have the right reactions.

Sax is different in your program than in robot specrtal coeff (for both modes).

Have you checked code book yet?

Have you checked with EC 8 code book the way \ correctness of Sax calculations for given data for each mode?
EC8,  Part 1,  3.2.2.2 Horizontal elastic response spectrum -> calculations of Se(T)

In case Sax is not correct, how can it be change for each mode?

1. Case 2 is model case so N/A results are correct

2. These values are calculated by program. Not possible to change thm in Robot. Maybe in your program...

Probably will be a small difference in spectra values between the 2 program. I am guessing

Thank you anyway for your support
