Seismic calculations for concrete beams

Is this the place to choose wether the concrete beam should be calculated in DCL, DCM or DCH according to NS-EN 1998-1 part 5.3.1 (DCL), 5.4 (DCM) or 5.5 (DCH)?

OK, where can I choose between DCL, DCM and DCM then? And what exactly is this parameters?

I wanted to say "Nowhere" by my previous answer.

What are these parameters for then?

My mistake I think becasue we did not notice the meanning of your three-letters short names

If we understood it correctly now:

None

Low Ductility Class = DCL (not exists in Robot)

Moderate Ductility Class = DCM

High Ductility Class = DCH

So in case of DCL the EC8 says:

5.3.1 General

(1) Seismic design for low ductility (ductility class L), following EN 1992-1-1:2004

without any additional requirements other than those of 5.3.2, is recommended only for

low seismicity cases (see 3.2.1(4)).

5.3.2 Materials

(1)P In primary seismic elements (see 4.2.2), reinforcing steel of class B or C in EN

1992-1-1:2004, Table C.1 shall be used.

So in fact for DCL the warning message should be displayed when steel class A is used for design.

I will add it as option for improvement.

Yes, you understood me correctly this time. As I have DCL in my construction I guess I have to choose "None" (as I have no better option) and be aware of the steel grade.

Exactly !
