Running out of Memory

Shell Model will not Mesh

I have a simple Robot model (attached) that hangs up and runs out of memory when it tries to mesh.

(I am running Robot Structural Analysis Professional 2013 version 6.1 with the latest service packs on Windows 7 with service pack 1, 64 bit.)

348m x 392m wall with 1cm mesh .....
Do you really want to mesh it like that ?
I guess you will need 12 GB RAM memory, at least.

Scale your model, as Rafal said your working in meter and I think your structure is set for cm ... so your pannel is 348 cm or 3.48m. Even with this dimension the size of the mesh is very small, it depends what your are studying but for general study ..... 0.2-0.3 is fine .... (1/10 the dimension of your model)

Thank you.  What I modeled was only a million times larger than the anchor plate I intended to model.  Heh, heh.
