Reactions diagram for linear support

Hi,

It seems, that this is a bug in reactions diagram for linear support in case with a door in the wall (common edge).

Internal forces are equal:

You should 'match' the way you create your model with the assumption of the method. If linear reaction is based on value of nodal reaction and the distance to the next node defined along the same edge of the panel the result you described is what you may expect. It would be exactly the same if instead of defining the inner contour you just delete the surface elements and their nodes in this area. The correct approach is to divide the bottom edge into 3 parts and then apply the linear supports to the outer ones as shown on the thatched picture.

Thank you Artur. I clear understand why it happened, but maybe it will be better if Robot will automatically recognize situation like this.

Of course the best would be to change the list of edges to follow the change in the definition of the contour but Robot can't do this. As you can see when you divide the contour the number of edges changes and the update of these numbers in load definition is what is currently not supported. IMHO in such case it is better to delete the load rather than apply it to the edge which gets the 'original' number.

I have created the development request for the 'update' of edge number in load definition for the next versions of Robot.
