# RC column design - design combination

In robot structure analysis, RC column design, column-note:

Please clarify why the sum value of the loads table (2.4) does not matching the internal  forces  results from  the design combination (2.5.1).

I suposed that all the values in table (2.4) are (unfactored values) once u factored them u will get the same results.

try with (N) but concerning the moments take care that the vaules in table (2.4) are calcluated at column ends (top & bottom). pls , have a look to ARSA help .

I used the load factors according to shown combination equation, also all the forces values are at the top of column (sections A), still not matching.

Hi

D.C = 1.20(6.17)+1.20(0.66)+1.20(1.76)+1.0(0.86)-1.0(0.87)=10.298 tf
