Problems with vertical elastic support

Hi,

I'm running a non-linear analysis model with elastic supports in Z-axis. All the supports are extremely stiff (atm all of them at -100000kN/m) and yet my model does not converge even for a simple dead load case. I tried fixing a single point within the structure, but it didn't fo the trick. The structure is a gridshell with supports more or less evenly distributed around its perimeter beam. Also, each support is located at the bottom of a dwarf column which is fixed to the edge beam. RX, RY, RZ remain fixed throughout and the until I input stiffnesses in the Z direction the model converges.

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks,

Ewa

Try to set the full Newton-Raphson method (the green one)
