Hi all, I am a very new (self-taught) RSA user and have a million questions but will try not to post every single one on here.
I understand the basics of drawing a 3D frame, specifying member sizes, adding basic loads, running calculations. However I have not been able to figure out how to get RSA to optimize beam and column sizes for me once I have ran my calculations. My concern is that when I design a structure in SolidWorks and then re-draw and analyze it in Robot that some of my members may be considerably oversized. Is it possible to get RSA to tell me if these members are oversized and provide a suggestion for a smaller member to replace the members I have used? I am currently operating RSA Pro 2010, a little outdated but it's all we have at this time. Thank you
Cheers,
Jared
