Node delete, Solids

Hi there, 

I would like to make my model look for asthetically pleasing. 

I have a jacket and pile structure but want to show that the piles have a plate on the top, is there a simle way to close the piles off?

Also, if you delete a node number to make a print screen easier to read, how do you get the node number back?
