Layout of a "Ax, Iy, Iz .." Section

Hello,

Is it possible to assign a Layout to a "Ax, Iy, Iz .." Section bar? Just to help the user with a different display without being just a line?

Regards,

José Santos

1. Create a section shape in the Section Builder module

2. Calculate its properties

3. Save section in the user section database

4. Open user section database in the Section Database browser and edit the properties replacing the calculated one with the values you want to use

Thank you for your reply Artur,

I am assigning properties to bars through API Robot/Excel (Composite Columns - Eurocode 4) and all properties of bars are calculate in my excel workbook wich aim is fulfill the regulation.

If it was possible assign a layout to that "Bar-Lines" it would be more friendly for the user. (Just the Layout).

Thank you again,

José Santos

It cannot be done like this but you can create a composite section in the Section Browser to. Yo may consider to adopt the workflow like this:

1. Create a section shapes in the Section Builder module

2. Calculate their properties

3. Save sections in the user section database

4. Open user section database in the Section Database browser and edit the properties replacing the calculated one with the values you want to use with some macro

5. Use API to insert user sections you previously defined/edited in the user section database in the model

If you find your post answered press the Accept as Solution button please. This will help other users to find solutions much faster. Thank you.
