Incoherent mesh on edges

Hi

I am having some difficulties meshing my structure. The structure is transferred from Revit and I can tell there is some inaccuracy in entering the geometry of the model. I know have to identify my problem areas but need a solution to fix them. I have tried the detail correct option without luck. In addition, it is worth mentioning that none of my axis got transferred from revit because they are not perpendicular to each other. I have set my structure meshing according to the following post (http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Structure-verification/m-p/3334637/highlight...) using iterative adjustment. I have also read the following thread http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Warning-after-Structure-Verification/m-p/320...

How can I correct incoherent mesh on edges without manually correct all areas?

Thanks in advance.

Regards Peder

Hello,

The meshing options were not set in your model according to Rafal's description from this post:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/Autodesk-Robot-Structural/Structure-verification/m-p/3334637/highlight...

When I set it for all panels using element size 0,5 m, then run local mesh generation for all panels and then run model generation the mesh incohherence is reported in only several locations.

They are corresponding to points of adjacent contours not defined with the same coordinates or points existing in one contour and not existing in adjacent contour.

I have fixed it dragging points to proper location (as shown in the post mentioned above) or in analogous way dragging nodes of FE mesh - in this second case only FE mesh is modified without modification of contours&panels.

The corrected model is too big to be attached to the post so I will contact you using private message.

I have also noticed some object where no panel is defined - see the attached screen capture. Probably some vertical panel should exist there. It can be fixed defining contour based on this object and then defining panel for it.

Hello everyone,

I'm having a very specific corner with in "incoherent mesh on edges" message. I send the model attached. Is it possible to troubleshoot this issue.

Thanks in advance.

imprecise geometry. Check very closely and you will see the error

Hello everyone,

I'm having an abnormally value of shear force in a specific bar (75). I thought it was due to incoherent mesh but I couldn't solve it. I send the model attached, is it possible to troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance.
