How is this done in SAFE exactly? At the intersections of structural axes? Other way?

I left click -mouse and drag on all columns , it reads all columns and auto-define columns sections .

i don't define each column alone but all in one click-selection .

Hi

In STAAD the same thing exists. You define nodes. You use array (which causes nodes be repeated in direction). In this, there exist an option (link) which causes nodes (existing and added by array) to be linked by bars.

I hope the same thing could be done in ARSA (at least using API).

You can select all nodes "to be" columms and use the Copy/move tool with "drag" marked to translate these nodes to the next level automatically creating the columm bars due to the "drag "option.
And if the desired columm section is already created and selected on " new section" dialog , the new bars will then be " ready to go"
