How does the program calculate Shear Stress for Simple Torsion

Good morning. I'm currently designing a bridge-crane structure using RSAP. After I execute the analysis I proceed to verify member strengths using AISC 360-05 design code. Between the results given by the program, there is one component under Computed Stresses that gets my attention, Shear Stress For Simple Torsion, due to the fact that I do not know how the program calculates such stress that is used to verify shear strength for the steel beam elements, and that in some cases becomes significant. I would like to learn how the program calculates the stress so I can verify by hand when such case presents.

Regards,

Using the general rules. E.g. for I section:

ty = (Mx/Ix)*thickness_flange

tz = (Mx/Ix)*thickness_web
