Hollow core slab elements in deck calculations.

Does anyone used hollow core type of elements in ROBOT?

I tried to calculate a deck with hollow core panels. But longitudinal connections between panels were full restrainted. When I used joint relaxation between elements there were errors and notice about instability.

Is there any good way to model prefabricated hollow core slabs deck in ROBOT?

If your job does not include design of the hollow core slab, I would use cladding instead.

Remmeber to add the self weight as a dead load if using this option.

Thanks for your reply.

I design HC slab as well. But I use special program for them.

But I have to make calculations for the whole building (especially its stability).

I also use claddings.

But I have multistorey building and there is very important load from the wind.

If I use only cladding I can't use stiffness of tha HC slab for the whole structures stiffness.

Whole load from the wind I will have to take into front columns.

I would like to calculate topping concrete on HC slabs Where the bigger reinforcement is needed).

I'll try to find some solution. If I have any I'll write it down.

You may not be able to use this method to calculate reinforcement for hollowcore, but you will be able to use it to get the correct stiffness for your structure.  Just be careful that the direction for orthotropy is pointing the right way.....

...and what do you suggest in case of precast double T plates. What is the best way to model them?

Could you attach the sketch showing the exact shape of such plate?

I'm talking about regular TT plate like this one: -> TT plate

or  a horizontal panel + two vertical ones or a horizontal panel and two bar elements (beams).
