Gerber joints

Is there any posibillity of designing a beam with gerber joints in ROBOT?

I do not think so or at least not in any automatic way.

Is there possible to add shear joints in the span of a beam and then read the forces in the node or something like that instead?

If I understood you correctly you can add shear joints.

Example below:

two approaches

- studs - short elements connected to beams (bar elements) by rigid links

- studs - short elements to panels (top flage ; main beam modeled by panels , not as a bar element)
