Floors - span direction

Hey,

I've got a floor which needs to span only in 1 direction.

I did a little test (used a hollow slab) and I get it to span in a direction, but I cant control the direction it is spanning in!

What else do I need to do?

The floor is carried by 4 concrete beams under every flooredge.

Try to use Linear releases from menu Geometry > Additional Attributes.

You should define the directions of the slab main span and load distribution in the same way. As the one way load distribution follows the local X of the panel (I know that everybody reads help :smileyhappy:)

http://docs.autodesk.com/RSA/2012/ENU/filesROBOT/GUID-F57A58F9-81AA-4410-84EA-6BFFD83D115-214.htm

then you should define the ortho thickness in the same way (automatic direction stands for local X of the panel as well).

Thanks Romanich, but it didnt seem te make a difference.

Artur, I changed the local x axis. That seems to turn it.

The wiki is a lot of text and I got little time. I did got to that page, but I didnt get out of it how I could change this axis and that I had to change it.

So sorry if I keep asking things that should be obvious!

Thanks

The things seems to be obvious when you already know them :smileyhappy: Please feel free to ask all sort of questions you may have - this is what the forum is all about anyway. I'm glad that I managed to help.
