Floor loads on supporting beams

Hi

Is it possible to display

1.  the reactions from floors on their supporting beams.

Or

2.  the loading applied to a beam from the floor being supported

Only if you replace them with (elastic) supports.

2.  the loading applied to a beam from the floor being supported

Only if you use cladding load distribution

Add to wishlist??  It would be great if it was oncorporated in the calculation note for the beam!!

This is the kind of analysis CBS uses for its 1st calculation method. The 'deflection' of  a beam in Robot being FEM type program (assuming you mesh panels rather than use claddings) depends on the overall stiffness of the structure rather than on a load distribution. This would require 'calculations' of loads based on actual deformation of  a beam.

Wrong:

You can overcome this by integrating supporting beam Fz force diagram:

Fz'(x) = -q(x)

q(x) = -∫Fz(x)dx

but it's too complicated for normal work.

Correct:

You can overcome this by derivating supporting beam Fz force diagram:

Fz'(x) = -q(x)

Fz(x) = -∫q(x)dx

but it's too complicated for normal work.

I'm sorry, typo. Smiley Very Happy
